Terms of Use

These terms cover the DropSpot: Food Drops and DropSpot: Drivers apps and this website, made by Original Function Inc. ("DropSpot", "we"). By creating an account or using the apps, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use DropSpot.

What DropSpot is

DropSpot helps a driver organize group food runs: families in the driver's group order from stores the driver shops, and pick up at stops the driver sets. Drivers are independent. They choose their stores, prices, stops and schedule, buy the food, and hand it off. DropSpot provides the software; we aren't a party to the purchase between you and your driver, and we don't prepare, handle or deliver food.

Your account

• You sign in with your own mobile number and keep your account to yourself.
• DropSpot isn't meant for children under 13.
• You're responsible for what you post and order from your account.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

Group chat and direct messages are for neighbors ordering food together. We don't tolerate objectionable content or abusive behavior. You may not post or send:

• harassment, threats, bullying, or hate based on who someone is;
• sexual or violent content;
• spam, scams, or attempts to collect payment for something you won't provide;
• other people's private information without their permission;
• offers of anything illegal, including alcohol, tobacco, drugs or weapons, or food that isn't safe or legal to sell.

Drivers are also responsible for keeping their group's catalog accurate and legal.

Reporting and blocking

• Report: long-press any message or person in the apps and choose Report. The group's driver is notified, and DropSpot reviews every report, usually within 24 hours.
• Block: long-press a message or person and choose Block. You won't see their chat messages and they can't message you directly. Service messages about your orders still arrive. Unblock anytime under You (Food Drops) or Group (Drivers) → Blocked people.
• You can also email hello@originalfunction.com.

When content breaks these terms, we remove it, and we suspend or remove the accounts responsible. Drivers and their helpers can also remove messages in their own group.

Orders and payment

• Orders are placed with your driver, who sets prices and fees, including an optional per-order fee. Prices for items sold by weight are estimates until they're weighed at pickup.
• You pay your driver directly, with cash, Venmo, Zelle, WeChat Pay or another method they accept. DropSpot doesn't process or hold these payments and isn't responsible for them. Settle refunds, missing items and disputes with your driver; tell us if a driver acts in bad faith.
• DropSpot may charge drivers a per-drop fee or a monthly plan. During the current test period it's tracked but not charged; we'll give notice before charging.

Content you share

You keep ownership of what you post (messages, photos, menus). You give DropSpot permission to store and show it to the people it's meant for (your group, or the person you message) so the service works, and to remove it under these terms. Only upload photos and menus you have the right to share.

Suspension and deleting your account

• We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.
• You can delete your account anytime: in Food Drops, You → Delete account; in Drivers, Group → Delete account. See the privacy policy for what's deleted and kept.

The service

DropSpot is provided as is, during an early test period, and may change or be unavailable at times. To the extent the law allows, DropSpot isn't liable for the food, stores, drivers, payments between users, or indirect losses from using the apps. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that can't be waived.

Changes

If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and ask you to agree again in the apps.
